Machu Picchu

Our first view of Machu Picchu was blanketed in clouds and dampened by a cool drizzle. The view was mottled with tourists. The ruins themselves were the most spectacular that I have ever seen, but the hopes for keepsake photos were dashed.

The day continued to be overcast until late in the day, but since we were staying at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge at the entrance to the ruins, we were able to get in the next morning to get some better photos.
